The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Administrative Assistant based in our Elvetham office, supporting the admin team.  We are looking for an individual who shares our energy and passion and will help to contribute to our ongoing success.  This role provides an opportunity to develop responsibilities over time and work on ad hoc projects as they become available, as well as developing and expanding on skills and knowledge.

 

Key Responsibilities

·        Providing support to our Arboriculture, Projects and Harvesting Managers with administrative tasks on a day-to-day basis.

·        Maintaining the area OneDrive, databases and spreadsheets; ensuring all are up-to-date.

·        Assisting with the setup of contracts, and subsequent invoicing.

·        Assisting in the provision of information for tenderingprocess.

·        Attending weekly planning meetings.

·        Filing of papers and contract documentation, photocopying and distribution of papers where necessary.

·        Answering incoming calls and professionally dealing with client queries to the department and taking messages as appropriate.

·        Organising incoming/outgoing mail for the office.

·        Basic bookkeeping and support to the accounts team, if required.

·        Meet and greet visitors to the office, signing them in and providing hospitality.

·        Assisting with the preparation and tidying of meeting rooms, including organising catering, if necessary.

·        Ensure the office is fully stocked with stationery.

 

Skills and experience

·        Previous experience in an administrative role.

·        Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

·        A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.

·        Knowledge of timber industry practices is a plus, but not required.

·        Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative with strong interpersonal skills

This role is a full-time position, Monday to Friday.
