Euroforest Ltd assisting clients with hardwood thinning and harvesting.
Euroforest Ltd are currently harvesting 5000t of very high-quality Norway Spruce and are providing hardwood thinning through an area of birch and sycamore that will benefit from the removal of the poor growth stems on a private estate near Kirkcudbright.
The harvesting work on the estate is being carried out by Blacklock Harvesting, with operations being closely overseen by our Contract Supervisor, Stewart Rodger. The site is complex with a number of electrical lines as well as historic archaeological features present.
We have upgraded and installed roads, turning points and stacking areas to facilitate the removal and uplift of timber from the site. Civils works were provided by our sub-contractor, AMD Contract Services Ltd.
