Euroforest Ireland First Forestry Company to Achieve ISO Certifications in Ireland
Euroforest would like to take this opportunity to congratulateon achieving ISO certifications 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems and 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management system standards. Euroforest Ireland are the first forestry company to be accredited with these important and internationally recognised standards in Ireland. This is a great achievement for the Euroforest Group, made possible with the help and support of the compliance team.
Ciara Kearney, Certification Manager stated: Certification verifies that our management and operations of timber harvesting are in line with international standards, providing reassurance & confidence to our valued staff, contractors, and forest owners.
Brian Fitzgerald, Area Manager Euroforest Ireland stated: The volume of timber in in the private sector in Ireland is set to increase from 1.742 million cubic metres to 4.042 million cubic metres in the next decade. First generation forest owners and forestry investment funds really value the confidence that certification to ISO standards provides.
Paddy Bruton, MD of Euroforest Ireland stated: We are very conscious of our Health & Safety and Environmental obligations and very proud of achieving ISO certification. The journey to securing this certification was challenging but the reward is now confidence in our processes and procedures for our existing and new clients.
Minister Martin Heydon expressed his appreciation for the initiative by Euroforest Ireland and recognised being the first in the country to achieve ISO to these standards is a huge achievement and a standard bearer for the remainder of the forestry industry. He wished Euroforest Ireland well and said it is great to see such ambition being displayed.
