Euroforest are currently working towards achieving certification under the Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP). SBP provides a system of assurance that the woody biomass we supply is sourced from legal and sustainable sources.
Additionally, with SBP Euroforest will be able to access new markets allowing us to build more robust supply chains, securing rural employment, and ensuring timber arising from existing and emerging plant health issues such as Ash Dieback and Spruce Bark Beetle attacks can be managed expediently and efficiently.
Expanding access to biomass markets will benefit growers and the wider public alike by ensuring hazards created by diseased and dying trees are removed before creating significant risk on roads and in public spaces, and ensuring that timber which would otherwise have little or no value can be sold to offset replanting costs.
