Steven joined Euroforest in 2018 as an Area Manager in the Talgarth office and covers the areas of North & Central Wales, and The Marches and works closely with Neal McGovern.  He was drawn to the business when looking to move into the private sector and interested in the different challenges associated with this.

Prior to working for Euroforest Steven gained over fifteen years of invaluable experience in the forestry sector working for the Forestry Commission in Wales.  He began as an apprentice before progressing to a Contract Manager role.  He also worked for Natural Resources Wales (NRW) where he again advanced to the role of Contract Manager.  

Steven is now responsible for purchasing and managing timber harvesting sites from initial valuation of standing and roadside timber, to ensuring all operations are undertaken in line with Euroforest and industry standards, as well as guaranteeing a consistent supply of timber to our customers.  Steven has a broad range of experience working in the sites of Wales from thinning to clearfell and has particular expertise in challenging steep winch sites.
