Stewart joined Euroforest in November 2020 as the Trainee Area Manager and has since progressed to Area Manager for Southwest Scotland.  Having previously worked for Forestry and Land Scotland in the same area, Stewart had often worked alongside Euroforest staff on harvesting sites in the area.  Having left a good impression, he felt Euroforest would be a great company to work allowing him to gain experience in the private sector.  

Stewart has a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and a PDA in Forestry from the Scottish School of Forestry, UHI. He has experience working within the forestry sector having worked for a large timber mill in Southwest Scotland where he was responsible for selling and despatching sawn timber. Following this he joined Forestry and Land Scotland in Southwest Scotland as a Harvesting Supervisor before progressing to become the Standing Sale Forester for Galloway. 

Stewart’s main role is to purchase and market timber, either standing or roadside.  He works alongside a skilled team in this busy area who collaboratively undertake a range of harvesting activities from first and second thinning’s, windfarm clearings, and large commercial clear fells.
